The EU plans to assist the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia in the matter of non-lethal weapons. This was announced by Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Armenia, during Thursday’s parliamentary hearing on the new prospects and challenges of Armenia's European integration.

Maragos noted that it is about the necessary assistance that will help strengthen the existing potential, and that this is within the framework of the European Peace Facility.

He added that the EU remains committed to the stabilization and normalization of the situation in the South Caucasus.
