A test launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile has been conducted from the Kapustin Yar test site. The Russian Ministry of Defence reported.

"This launch was conducted within the framework of state tests of advanced missile systems, as well as confirmation of the stability of missiles in service," the ministry explained.

The Russian Defence Ministry said the launch fulfilled in full the objectives of the launch and confirmed the "high reliability" of Russian missiles in ensuring the country's strategic security. The ministry did not specify which missile was launched.
