The Parliament of Georgia issued a statement about additional security measures Monday, the First Channel television of the country reports.

Accordingly, the yellow security level will be in effect in the Georgian Parliament building.

The decision is based on Order No. 1/259/23 issued by the Georgian Parliament Speaker on September 4, 2023, which outlines security protocols for the Parliament Palace.

Access to the Parliament building will be restricted under the yellow security level, and only individuals invited by relevant structural units will be permitted to attend scheduled parliamentary events, including committee meetings.

The restriction does not apply to accredited TV broadcasters’ journalists.

The primary objective of these security measures is to ensure a safe and productive working environment within the Parliament.
