The situation has become tense in Tavush Province of Armenia.

The residents of border villages, under the guidance of Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, Primate of the Diocese of Tavush of the Armenian Apostolic Church, are trying to block the motorway from Ayrum town to the Bagratashen checkpoint on the border with Georgia.

But the large police forces concentrated there do not allow it.

The residents of border villages of Tavush have been protesting on the Armenia-Georgia interstate motorway since April 19. They are against the border delimitation choice agreed upon by Armenia and Azerbaijan.
