French Senator said that bill criminalizing the Armenian Genocide denial had not been included in Senate’s agenda yet, Le Figaro writes referring to AFP.

“The program of Senate’s work till next February does not include this text,” Roger Karoutchi, member of Union for a Popular Movement told Radio Classique/Public Sénat.

The bill which angered Ankara will not be adopted by Senate unless it is included in the agenda by the end of January he said recalling that the Senate will stop its work in late February – early March because of the beginning of election campaign.

“Conference of Senate’s chairmen will be held on January 10. It may decide to include the issue in the agenda,” he added.

Karoutchi said Armenian people living in France have the right to be respected.
