The Crossroads of Peace project, launched by the Armenian government, is about becoming part of the newly sought-after logistical routes; moreover, not only by Armenia, but also by the entire South Caucasus. This was stated by foreign minister Ararat Mirzoyan during the Armenian National Assembly’s question-and-answer session with the government Wednesday.

“There are many experts who claim that the Crossroads of Peace is, in fact, a branch of the Middle Corridor. It is well known that we [i.e. Armenia] have made a very constructive and practical proposal, a mutually acceptable proposal to Azerbaijan. If there is an official positive response [by Azerbaijan], we can immediately begin the unblocking of infrastructure, the Middle Corridor, without even combining the process with the signing of a peace agreement [with Azerbaijan],” the Armenian FM added.
