YEREVAN. – Election campaign launches at Apr. 8 in Armenia, however, some parties still have neither motto, nor head of election headquarters, Armenian News-NEWS.am monitoring claims.

Thus, motto of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is ‘Believe to change,’ and former Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan is the head of the party headquarter.

Ruling coalition member Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) has several mottos, including ‘Let’s build prosperous state together,’ ‘Our word is action.’ The Urban Development Minister Vardan Vardanyan heads the PAP headquarter.

The coalition third member, Orinats Yerkir Party parliamentary group head Heghine Bisharyan heads the party headquarter with ‘Believe to build a state of law’ motto.

Parliament opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun party headquarter will be head by MP Mikael Manukyan and the motto is ‘Freedom, Justice, Dashnaktsutyun.’

The other parliament opposition Heritage party in a bloc with off-parliament Free Democrats, as well as the Armenian National Congress (ANC) have neither mottos, nor heads for their headquarters.

Nine parties will run for 90 parliamentary seats on proportional and 41 seats on majoritarian system. Parties will have to overpass 5%, while blocs have 7% barrier to enter the parliament.

Elections are scheduled for May 6 in Armenia.
