YEREVAN. – It is necessary to adopt a package of bills for a development of the industry, off-parliament opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) leader, Armenia’s First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan said during the ANC rally in the Liberty Square in downtown Yerevan. He believes that enterprises establishing new job places need tax benefits.

“Anti-monopoly bill should include a provision on banning any company in any market that tends to occupy the one-third of the market except natural monopolies (gas, water and electricity).

It is also necessary to significantly cut down the increasing state apparatus and to direct the released finance to education, science and culture,” Ter-Petrosyan said.

On entering the Parliament, the ANC, as a radical opposition, will vote against all those bills, which will not count on the party’s position.

Armenian National Congress (ANC) is an opposition bloc founded in 2008 after presidential elections. During the August 1, 2008, rally in Yerevan the first President of Armenia and ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan announced formation of the bloc. ANC comprises 18 parties and political forces.

ANC proportional list includes 119 names. It has also nominated MP candidates with the majority election system.
