YEREVAN. – The aim of the united proportional list of Heritage and Free Democrats is to change authorities in Armenia, Heritage deputy head Ruben Hakobyan said at a press conference on Monday adding the two parties share the same ideology and political approaches.

According to him, they have the same approaches on Armenian-Turkish relations, the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process and human rights issue. Besides, the change of the state-governmental issue is on the agenda.

“The current system is half-presidential, but it would change into parliamentary one if we win,” Hakobyan stressed.

In his turn, ex-deputy Speaker Karapet Rubinyan, who is included in the Heritage list, said that he is invited to manifest his political ideas.

“No matter who initiated or who is invited, important is that we are a team,” Rubinyan said.

Opposition Heritage Party is a liberal party founded in 2002. The leader is the first Armenian Foreign Minister Raffi Hovannisian.

Heritage and Free Democrats Party are running for the parliament with joint proportional list.

The proportional list of the party includes members of extra-parliamentary opposition Free Democrats Party and civil society representatives.
