YEREVAN. – Not a “hot autumn,” but a “hot winter” is expected in Armenia, according to Hraparak (Square) newspaper.

“The MPs will virtually not rest. The special [National Assembly (NA)] session ends today [Thursday], but the next NA four-day [session] starts on January 15.

“The problem is that the regular election of the [next] president of the republic is held no sooner than 40 and no later than 30 days before the end of the [incumbent] president’s powers; this means that the parliament shall elect the new president in early March of next year.

“And right after the election of the president, the government will automatically hand its resignation,” wrote Hraparak.
