YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Defense Ministry extends its deep condolences to the parents and relatives of Private Vaghinak Baghdasaryan.  

“This is a very huge loss for us. With such steps, the adversary adds to the destabilization of the situation at the border line. The Armenian side will not leave unanswered such actions, whose responsibility falls squarely on the Azerbaijani side,” MOD’s respective statement reads.      

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, Armenian serviceman, Private Vaghinak Baghdasaryan (born in 1993) was fatally wounded by an adversary bullet, on the frontline at 11:30am on Tuesday, the preliminary reports said.

A criminal case is filed on charges of murder on motives of national, race or religious hate or fanaticism, and an investigation is underway.

The site of the incident and the body of the victim are examined and a forensic medical examination is commissioned.
