YEREVAN. – Since Turkey has closed its air space to Syria, the state-run Syrian Air company will conduct the Yerevan-Aleppo and return flights through Iranian and Iraqi air space, Syrian Air’s Armenian capital city Yerevan office representative told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

To the query as to whether the ticket prices could now increase because of a longer route, the company employee responded by saying that the prices are the same, at present, but there could changes in the future. The representative also confirmed that Syrian Air continues its weekly regular Yerevan-Aleppo and return flights.

To note, Syrian Air charges AMD 145,000 (approx. $350) for economy class, and AMD 231,000 (approx. $570) for business class, for a roundtrip flight between Yerevan and Aleppo.
