The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the Czech Republic held regular political consultations in Prague, on Monday and Tuesday.  

The talks were conducted by Armenia Deputy FM Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, and Czech Republic First Deputy FM Petr Drulák.

The parties discussed cooperation between the two countries as well as Armenia-European Union (EU) relations.
They also exchanged vies on the latest developments concerning Syria’s predominantly Armenian-populated town of Kessab. In this context, the Czech diplomat condemned the violence against the peaceful inhabitants.  

In addition, the interlocutors reflected on several other regional and international matters.

While in Prague Mnatsakanyan also held bilateral talks. During the meeting with Hynek Kmoníček, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs at the Office of the President of the Czech Republic, they conferred on the agenda of the high-level meeting, which will be held between April 24 and 25 in Prague, devoted to the fifth anniversary of the EU’s Eastern Partnership program.      

At the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Deputy FM Mnatsakanyan exchanged views with members of the Czech Republic-Armenia Interparliamentary Friendship Group. The parties underscored the need to further expand interparliamentary partnership.
