YEREVAN. – Armenian subscribers can change their numbers in 24 hours within mobile number portability (MNP), ArmenTel CJSC (trade mark - Beeline) Director General Andrey Pyatakhin told reporters.   

MNP enables users to retain their numbers while changing from one network operator to another. The system was introduced on April 1 at the insistence of Armenia's Public Services Regulatory Commission.

To switch to another network, user must apply to the office of operator. On the same day the application is sent to the operator of the database where it is processed, and then subscriber receives a response. Switching to another network occurs on the next day.

Pyatakhin said for some reason, the transition may take longer, for example, if there are problems with personal information.
