YEREVAN. – President Serzh Sargsyan issued a message of congratulations to Armenia’s Yezidi community in connection with Malake Taus, the Yezidi New Year. 

“The Armenian and the Yezidi peoples have been together for centuries. Our forebears have carried this unity and brotherhood in the battlefield, too.

“Today we, all equal citizens of Armenia, shape our country, our common home, and you have a considerable contribution in this patriotic task.   

“My the [Yezidi] New Year bring successes to you and your families, and [may] the lasting friendship of our peoples further strengthen,” President Sargsyan’s message specifically reads.
