YEREVAN. – The government clearly announced, with PM Hovik Abrahamyan’s voice, that we are ready to make a decision in consideration of everyone’s interests.

Ruling Republican Party of Armenia MP Hakob Hakobyan—who had contested at the Constitutional Court that the new law on funded pensions was constitutional—stated the aforesaid in connection with opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party deputy Artsvik Minasyan’s statement that the government stands ready to take concrete steps to stop the mandatory component of the pension law.

Hakobyan, however, did not speak about what was discussed Tuesday at the government, and between Abrahamyan and the representatives from five parliamentary factions. He solely noted that the PM was listening to the views of these political forces, and that the final result will show on April 28, when the Government will submit its respective bill to the National Assembly.

The aforesaid bill, which will propose to exempt—until the development of a new version of the controversial law—the employers from the fines for not making the mandatory pension allocations, will be ready in two days.
