YEREVAN. – Trade chambers of Armenia and the United Arab Emirates signed a cooperation agreement. This was announced during the meeting of Armenian Deputy PM Armen Gevorgyan with the delegation of Abu Dhabi trade chamber chaired by Mohamed Thani Murshed Ghannam Al Rumaithi.

The head of UAE delegation expressed confidence that the current agreement between trade chambers will become a good background for developing cooperation between the states.

“Being the main financial center, we are serious about cooperation with Armenia's private sector,” he said.

Rumaithi noted that the main goal of their trip is to learn more about investment opportunities and specify the areas of cooperation.

Deputy PM assured Armenia attaches importance to strengthening of bilateral trade and economic relations. He named the areas that may be interesting in terms of bilateral cooperation, among them agriculture, food industry, tourism, construction, IT, jewelry, energy sector and chemical industry.

The Armenian government is ready to support all projects and initiatives for the development of economic relations between the states, he added.
