The judge ordered one-month arrest for Artur Mirzoyan, who fired shots at the Turkish embassy in Moscow.

Mirzoyan pleaded guilty and said he wanted to pay a fine of 500,000 rubles and would not leave the country during the trial, Russian media reported.

Artur Mirzoyan, Armenian by origin, is a citizen of Russia, he is married and has two minor children. His lawyer said Mirzoyan was waiting for police after opening fire at the Embassy, and asked the court to release him on bail.

The man did not explain the reasons for his actions, but his lawyer Georgiy Shatvoryan noted that he had permission for carrying a weapon.

Earlier the Armenian Embassy in Russia said Mirzoyan, however, had not fired at the Turkish national flag or the coat of arms, but rather at the sign which reads Embassy of Turkey.
