YEREVAN. – A new quarterly magazine on agriculture has been presented in Yerevan on Wednesday.

The magazine is a result of collaboration between the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Center for Agribusiness and Rural Development (CARD) and Armenia's Agriculture Ministry. The event was attended by Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan and U.S. Ambassador John Heffern.

“Cooperation with the United States has significantly contributed to increasing quality of agricultural production. Today CARD continues this mission. The governments all over the world are drawing much attention to the agriculture, since there is a food security problem. “Agro-culture” magazine's goal is to tell about farmers' achievements and to introduce  new technologies,” Karapetyan said addressing the guests.

Ambassador John Heffern, for his part, stressed that the CARD launched a magazine which will serve as an instrument for farmers and will spread information on technology development in the field of agriculture and will promote exchange of experience between local and international experts.

The diplomat expects that this magazine will be added to a number of successful projects. He emphasized that together with CARD, the embassy will continue to support families engaged in agriculture in all regions of Armenia.
