YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received Estonian Ambassador to Armenia, Priit Turk.

The PM noted that Armenia underscores the further development of relations with Estonia.

“There is great potential to deepen bilateral cooperation. I am confident that we will be able to develop bilateral relations in economy and in other domains,” Abrahamyan stated.

In turn, the Estonian ambassador stressed that his country also attaches great importance to the development of ties with Armenia. In Turk’s words, Armenia has made substantial progress in the development of the country’s business sector.

Subsequently, the interlocutors discussed the avenues for the development of Armenia-European Union (EU) relations. In this respect, Hovik Abrahamyan said that Armenia highlights the need to continue—and with the EU assistance—the strengthening of democracy, protection of human rights, and development of a civil society in the country.

The parties also conferred on regional matters, and especially the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict stressing that it should be resolved by way of peace talks within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.
