Foreign Minister of teh Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Karen Mirzoyan met with member of the Spanish Parliament, head of the leading Basque Nationalist Party parliamentary faction Aitor Esteban Bravo and the Party’s foreign affairs coordinator Inaki Goicoetxea Gonsales at the BNP Central Office in the city of Bilbao, the Basque Country, on September 15.

The sides touched upon the Motion in support of the right of Nagorno-Karabakh to self-determination, recently adopted by the Basque Parliament, and emphasized that it would serve as an important basis in fostering bilateral relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, a range of practical issues related to the intensification of the relations between the Basque Country and the Nagorno Karabakh Republic were discussed. The sides mutually stressed the importance of establishing bilateral ties between the political parties of the two countries.
