YEREVAN. – The Armenian National Assembly parliamentary groups met with the government members to discuss new law on turnover tax.

However, the lawmakers have not managed to discuss all the issues, and the meeting will continue on Thursday.

The parties had presented their proposals to amend the controversial bill on turnover tax, MP from Orinats Yerkir Hovhannes Margaryan told protesters who gathered near parliament's building.

The protesters thanked Margaryan and asked to convey their proposal to meet with the member of the Republican Party of Armenia.

The “parliamentary four” proposes a new bill for the Law on Turnover Tax. This draft law will enable Armenia’s merchants to choose between either working with the old law, giving a 3.5 percent turnover tax, and refraining from documentation, or working with the new law, giving a one percent turnover tax, but carrying out documentation.
