STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Monday attended the official opening of a conference that kicked off in capital city Stepanakert.
The conference was entitled, “Avenues for Strengthening Cooperation between Television and Radio Companies of the Republic of Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, and Further Development of the Domain.”
In his welcoming remarks, President Sahakyan stressed that telecommunications are among the key components of our Artsakh’s socioeconomic and security systems, and they touch upon virtually all walks of life, informed the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President
Reflecting on the present-day challenges in this domain, Sahakyan underscored the need for a continuous modernization of the technical base, preparation and training of qualified personnel, and carrying out a major ideological work, adding that the matters concerning telecommunications will continue to be at the focus of the NKR authorities.
