YEREVAN. – Everything that is now happening in the Middle East is a problem of the Christian world, representative of Assyrian community of Armenia Razmik Khosroyev said.

He is confident that deportation of the Christians from these territories – and both Turkey and the Muslim world have been willing to do it for 100 years – will have serious consequences.

“The Assyrian nation wants Christian world to speak up and condemn the genocide of Christians perpetrated in Iraq and Syria. We urge the government of Armenia and the entire world to prevent the crime, because every war is a genocide,” he noted.

The Assyrians want the world to support Yezidis, Assyrians and Armenians of the Middle East.

“We know how Armenia hosts the Syrian Armenians. I would like to see the similar decisions made in respect to the Assyrians,” Khosroyev added.
