YEREVAN. – It is nice to see that the European Union stopped seeking dividing lines with Armenia, leader of Prosperous Armenia party said.

Naira Zohrabyan, head of parliament's standing committee on European integration, said EU should have more flexible policy towards the Eastern Partnership member states.

“It is important that unlike in the past when Brussels was seeking new dividing lines between Armenia's EU integration and Eurasian Union, now there is readiness to find commonality, including in economic sector,” Zohrabyan said during the hearing ahead of the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga.

Prosperous Armenia leader cited the example of Brazil, a member state of MERCOSUR that has deep and comprehensive economic relations with the EU.

“I am inspired by the new approach of Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Johannes Hahn,” she added.
