YEREVAN. - Russian Parliament Federation Council (upper house) delegation headed by the Member of Russia’s State Duma Federation Council Nikolai Ryzhkov arrived in Armenia.   

Ryzhkov told Armenian News – NEWS.am that the delegation had arrived in the Republic to attend the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

On April 22, the delegation will take part in a two-day global forum “Against the Crime of Genocide” and will also be present at the Ceremony of Canonization of the Armenia Genocide martyrs, which is to be held at the First-Throned St. Etchmiadzin.  

The delegation includes Chairman of the Federation Council of Federal Assembly on social policy Galina Karelova, member of the Federation Council committee on budgetary and financial markets Vladimir Chub, as well as the Members of the Federal Council Igor Chernyshenko and Alexander Ter-Avanesov.
