STEPANAKERT. - In contrast to other countries, where tyrants write their own books and press them upon their nations, Azerbaijan probably tried to spend less money by using the thoughts of Goebel and Hitler, only having changed the dates and names of the nations, Karabakh President Press-secretary Davit Babayan told Armenian News – NEWS.am, referring to the statements by Azerbaijan’s MFA Press Service head Himket Hajiev. The latter specifically said that “the use of “people of Nagorno-Karabakh” expression in the statements issued by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and U.S. Department of State regarding illegal “parliamentary elections” to be held in the territories of Azerbaijan occupied by Armenia is wrong and unacceptable.”
David Babayan said that naturally this is the problem of this man. “But this is very similar to the Nazi propaganda, when the Nazis did not consider as nations the population of different states and decided their fate, As to the term ‘people of Nagorno-Karabakh,’ I think this man should be reminded that it is the term ‘people of Azerbaijan’ that does not exist: the Azerbaijani nation has itself been created artificially and all documents witnessing this are available.” Davit Babayan said.
Azerbaijani authorities may proceed with papering this problem, assimilating national minorities, imposing pressure and spreading terror among them: they will not manage to do this anyway. “And if Azerbaijan wants to become a normal state and have a normal future, it should first settle its internal problems with the national minorities residing in that country,” the Press-secretary concluded.
