The highest degree of diligence is a special characteristic of the Armenian nation, said US Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, speaking to the Voice of America Armenian Service.

Eshoo’s mother was Armenian and father was Assyrian, and she considers this a wonderful unity.

In her words, the Armenian people have an extraordinary work ethic, and their sole work method is diligence. As per the congresswoman, Armenians have never feared failure, and continued their progress.

Anna Eshoo added that profound faith is yet another peculiarity of the Armenian nation, and which is granted to them by God. She does not believe that the Armenians would have been able to survive and withstand all past ordeals, had they not had the faith which they had passed on from one generation to the next.

The congresswoman, however, noted that she is deeply disappointed because the US has not yet recognized the fact of the Armenian Genocide. She recalled that, together with Jackie Kanchelian-Speier, another American congresswoman with Armenian roots, they have sent a letter to their colleagues, and calling for holding special hearings on recognition of this genocide.
