STEPANAKERT. – President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan participated in an event devoted to launching the “Artsakh Eco-Village” project in Stepanakert.
In his speech, President Sahakyan stressed importance of the project for the country and its economy, adding that Artsakh has all the necessary preconditions for the development of ecotourism, namely virgin nature, pristine environment, rich historic and cultural heritage, hospitable people, high level of public safety.
Bako Sahakyan expressed gratitude to national philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan, main author of the “Artsakh Eco-Village” project, underlining that his involvement in the project created serious prerequisites for its successful implementation.
Chairman of the National Assembly Ashot Ghulyan, Prime Minister Arayik Haroutyunyan, guests from abroad and Armenia, other officials participated in the event.
