An Armenian injured in powerful Ankara blast that claimed lives of 97 people is confident that the government could prevent the bombing.

Rudi Sayat Pulatyan is undergoing treatment in one of the hospitals of Istanbul.

“First, I don't believe that it was an accident,” he told Armenian News-NEWS.am. “The bombed place was very close to national intelligence agency (MIT), police hedquarter and Erdogan's palace. So it is impossible to overlook this issue. When I entered the area, I started to move toward where HDP members gethering.”

When the explosion happened, the young man was 20 meters away from that area.

“First I did not understand that my foot was bleeding but I was very fortunate to enter the ambulance at that very moment. Because after first moments polce came and throw tear gas to wounded people,” he said.

Rudi Sayat Pulatyan, student of the Middle East Technical University, is a member of Peoples' Democratic Party.
