The incident in connection with the Russian warplane will end for Turkey with sanctions, as Russia will limit imports of Turkish foods and other products.

The sanctions may be officially announced on Thursday, Kommersant daily of Russia reported citing its Russian government sources as well as the Russian businessmen working with Turkish suppliers.

Even though there is no list yet of the Turkish products to be subject to restrictions in Russia, this will not be an embargo like the Western countries.

Turkey accounts for 4 percent of the goods imported to Russia.

The Turkish air force on Tuesday shot down a Russian Su-24 attack aircraft/interdictor—which was taking part in the antiterrorism operations in Syria—on the Turkish-Syrian border.
