Tigran Sargsyan, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board, who assumed this office on February 1, today opened the EEC session.

“We realize that we have been assigned the serious task to enhance the integration processes in the framework of the Eurasian Economic Space. We must be in the forefront of this movement and carry out this task,” he said at the opening.

Sargsyan also noted that nowadays the Commission faces new challenges and threats. “All this, of course, influences the economic processes in our countries. [But] I’m sure with joint efforts it will be easier for us to solve the issues which the Presidents set before us by. We must gather all the existing practice and act wisely. I’m sure we shouldn’t stop: it’s necessary to move forward all the time. And we must hold together during this. I will do my best for this unity to be present in our staff, the Board, and our work,” the Chairman stressed.
