YEREVAN. - There has been no discussion on coalition: Armenian President made a conceptual speech related to the internal and external challenges of Armenia. Ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov told the aforementioned to the journalists after the meeting at the Presidential Palace today.

“Global conceptual issues were touched on, including social and economic policy, our future actions, Armenia’s new strivings in light of the new Constitution, officials’ activity, their productivity, struggle against corruption, domestic and foreign policy and our vision. That is, there has been no area – freedom of press and development of democracy – which the President didn’t refer to,” Sharmazanov noted.

Responding to the question on whether the cooperation with the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) has been discussed, the RPA Spokesman said: “There has been no talk over the cooperation specifically with Dashnaktsutyun; the issue on raising the role of parties was touched on.”

To the question on what the key message of the President’s speech was, Sharmazanov said: “The key messages were various in terms of the social and economic development and conscientious work of the officials.”

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan will today host staff representatives of the country’s legislative, executive and judicial authorities. The President will make a speech, which will relate not to the cooperation with ARF, but the implementation of the Constitutional amendments.
