YEREVAN. – For investment appeal, Armenia needs to smoothen relations with its neighbors.

German Ambassador Bernhard Matthias Kiesler on Tuesday noted the above-said at his joint news conference with Minister of Economy Artsvik Minasyan, and along the lines of the opening of the German Economic Association representation in Armenia. 

“There are good opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in various domains,” Kiesler noted. “But I must say that Armenia’s isolated position creates problems, especially for foreign investors. Therefore, it is desirable that Armenian have good relations with all neighbors.”

“You don’t choose your neighbors,” Minasyan said, in response. “But our economy needs to be strong so that if any country decides to become hostile to us, it would not even dare to think of aggression.”
