YEREVAN. - Russian FM Sergey Rogozin didn’t bring separate Karabakh-related document to Yerevan, Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian said in the parliament Wednesday.

According to him, the consequences of Azerbaijan’s large-scale actions against Karabakh should be liquidated, this being exactly what the Armenian President stated in his recent statements and interviews. And, of course, the efforts of Armenia, OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and international community are aimed at excluding what happened in the beginning of April, the FM noted.

Russia FM Sergey Lavrov also spoke about this during his visit. The news that he had brought a package of documents was only hearsay. It’s difficult to hold talks in a situation where relevant conditions haven’t been created, Nalbandian said.

“Azerbaijan’s wish is to show that Armenia has left the negotiation process. This is a lie. Armenia has never left the talks and has always spoken of solving the conflict by peaceful means. If certain high-level meetings weren’t held or were cancelled, this happened only due ti the Azerbaijani side. The latest similar case took place in Washington when the Azerbaijani side refused to meet even with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs,” he noted.

“And now they are making futile attempts to call into question the tripartite agreement on ceasefire. The Co-Chairs responded accordingly: they said what we had said: The tripartite indefinite term ceasefire agreement of 1994-1995 is effective and its provisions should be fully implemented. The picture is again the following: Azerbaijan opposes the opinion of the international community. These were quite inaccurate estimates from their side,” Nalbandian concluded.
