On Monday the Prosecutor’s office in Brazil required the Brazilian Supreme Court to conduct an investigation of the head of the opposition and a presidential candidate of 2014 Aesio Neves, who is involved in a big corruption scandal , according to RIA Novosti . As the Brazilian prosecutor's office informed to France Press, the attorney General Rodrigo Jeannot required to institute a lawsuit against Senator Neves on the corruption scandal in Petrobras, the state oil company. It is noted that Neves was the instigator of the impeachment of the current President Dilma Rousseff .

The Brazilian opposition submitted to the Parliament a claim for Dilma Rousseff’s impeachment and launched an investigation on making tax violations and using state funds to finance her re-election . The lower house of the parliament has approved the launch of impeachment proceedings. Thus, it is will be the Senate to solve the issue in the near future.

In order to temporary suspend Rousseff from the office for 180 days, it is necessary to receive the votes of more than half of the senators - not less than 41. In this case, her duties will temporarily pass to the Vice - President Michel Temer, and Senate would reconsider the case at a special meeting under the chairmanship of the Supreme Court .Then, the fate of Rousseff will be determined. If two-thirds of MPs ( 54 people ) vote for her impeachment , she will step down.
