The Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov suggested to proceed from the results of the meeting of the Russian and Turkish presidents in the issue of a possible compensation from Ankara for Su- 24, which will be known after the phone call, reports RIA Novosti.
“There have been many statements made. In this regard, I would suggest to concentrate solely on the results of the meeting between the Presidents of Russia and Turkey,” replied Peskov to a journalist’s comment on Erdogan's statement during a parliamentary session in which he stated that Turkey would not pay any compensation to Russia for Su- 24.
Peskov also noted that he did not know whether the cancellation of the Russian sanctions against Ankara will be discussed over the phone.
