YEREVAN. – Arman Tatoyan, Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) of Armenia, on Wednesday met in Geneva, Switzerland, with Philippe Dam, Advocacy Director for Europe and Central Asia of the Human Rights Watch organization. 

The ombudsman’s office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the interlocutors underscored the need for the ombudsman to carry out active preventive activities toward the introduction of international human rights standards in Armenia.

They discussed the avenues for implementing joint projects in Armenia, in the domain of human rights.

The parties also agreed to carry out active cooperation.
