STEPANAKERT. – The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic National Assembly (NKR/Artsakh NA) Chairman, Ashot Ghoulyan, on Tuesday received Baroness Caroline Cox, a member of the British House of Lords who has also set a well-established tradition of visits to the NKR.

Several Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust (HART) members also have arrived in Artsakh together with Baroness Cox, the NKR NA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Ghoulyan stressed that this 85th visit to NKR by the baroness is noteworthy, since it is taking place in the days of the 25th anniversary of independent statehood of Artsakh.

“Artsakh becomes recognizable also with you because you bring a new group of friends to Artsakh, every time,” noted the speaker of the NKR parliament. “This fact is very important, since Azerbaijan constantly attempts to misinform international organizations [about Artsakh].”

Baroness Cox, for her part, said she observes progress and infrastructure development during her each visit to the NKR, and that this inspires and motivates her.

The member of the British House of Lords noted that she is happy to work with Karabakh and the Armenian diaspora, stands ready to continue her professional and humanitarian assistance to the people of Artsakh, and get new people familiarized with the true history of Artsakh, during each visit.

Subsequently, the interlocutors discussed several topics.
