The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon condemned the terrorist attack on the police academy in the Pakistani town of Quetta. As media outlets report, militants stormed the academy, killing at least 60 people – mostly the academy’s cadets – and injuring 100. The UN Secretary General expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, to the government, and the people of Pakistan and wished the injured a speedy recovery. He called immediately to find and hold the culprits accountable. The UN humanitarian coordinator in Pakistan Angela Kearney called the attack on the academy "inhuman", and stressed that it can have no justification.
