The Armenian Embassy in Ukraine has refuted the reports on Armenian-Ukrainian interethnic clashes in Nikopol, Ukraine. Press Secretary of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tigran Balayan informed NEWS.am that no interethnic incident occurred.

A number of media outlets reported that Ukrainian young people and Zaporozhye Cossacks destroyed some trade outlets owned by Armenians and the monument “Ukrainian-Armenian friendship”. The pogroms reportedly occurred after Armenian citizens killed two locals.
