YEREVAN. - Armenia’s Ambassador to Netherlands Dzyunik Aghajanyan presented her credentials to the Director General of Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Ahmet Uzumcu on August 26.

Mr Uzumcu highly appreciated the cooperation between Armenia and the organization, stressing Armenia fulfilled its commitments properly, the press service of Armenian MFA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

During the meeting, Mr Uzumcu presented the current problems and the ongoing reforms. He stressed the member-states’ active participation is a guarantee for its success.

Aghajanyan stressed Armenia’s steps in carrying out the convention’s provisions, stressing the importance of regional and international cooperation in fighting against chemical weapons proliferation, as well as elaboration of preventive measures.
