Lebanon’s Ministry of Health reports that as a result of Israel’s ongoing attacks on the country between March 2 and June 7, at least 3,613 people have been killed and another 11,072 wounded, Al Jazeera reports.

Israel struck Beirut’s southern suburbs without warning on Sunday, several days after a ceasefire agreement came into effect in Washington and despite a US request not to strike the Lebanese capital.

Iran, an ally of Hezbollah, had warned that an attack on Beirut would lead to a resumption of full-scale war in the Middle East.
