"I don't think anyone should have the right to charge a fee for the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz," US President Donald Trump stated, according to media reports.

"I’ve had calls from different people from different countries, including kings and emirs. They said they would like to do it differently. 'We would like to invest in the United States—billions and billions of dollars.' And frankly, I like that because I don’t think anybody should be allowed to charge for passage through the strait," he noted.
