At least 4,734 people were killed as a result of the recent earthquakes in Venezuela, the country’s parliament speaker Jorge Rodríguez said on Tuesday.

Thus, the death toll increased by 173 people compared with the figures announced earlier in July, EFE reported.

The number of injured has not changed in recent days and stands at 16,740 people. In addition, nearly 18,000 residents of the country remain homeless.
