During the night, Russia carried out one of the most massive ballistic attacks on Kyiv, launching more than 40 missiles of various types, most of them at the capital, as well as 120 attack drones. This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“In Kyiv and the surrounding region, one person is known to have been killed, and 16 others were injured. Emergency response efforts are ongoing at three locations affected by the shelling, with around 600 rescuers involved. Relevant services are also working in Odesa Region.

In total, this week Russia used about 1,450 attack drones, more than 1,640 guided aerial bombs, and 99 missiles of various types against Ukraine. People were injured in Odesa and Zaporizhzhia, and there is destruction in Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Also this week, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Cherkasy regions came under Russian attacks.

Protection against ballistic missiles is the top priority right now. Interceptors are needed every day, and I am grateful to everyone who takes our agreements seriously and ensures the supply of anti-ballistic systems. These packages right now literally mean saved lives during every massive attack. And it is very important that, alongside work on anti-ballistic defense, pressure on Russia continues. Delays in new decisions allow Moscow to plan not only new attacks against our people, but also how to avoid new sanctions restrictions,” he noted.
