Nver Kostanyan, the spokesperson for the minister of labor and social affairs of Armenia, has dismissed reports that the state housing assistance program for former Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) residents has allegedly become unfeasible.

Kostanyan said the official data show the opposite picture: as of August 13, a total of 7,743 families displaced from Artsakh have already received housing assistance certificates, and 4,146 families have used them within the framework of the aforesaid program.

"Thus, as of August 13, 7,743 families (31,845 people) have already received certificates within the framework of the program, of which 7,147 families (29,921 people) with the acquisition component, 297 families (1,104 people) with the construction component, 299 families (820 people) with the current mortgage repayment assistance component.

The process of using the certificates is also actively continuing: 4,146 families (19,098 people) have used the certificates, of which 3,853 (18,134 people) with the acquisition component, 62 (304 people) with the construction component, and 231 (660 people) with the current mortgage repayment assistance component,” the spokesperson for the minister of labor and social affairs of Armenia wrote, in particular, on Facebook.
