On September 2, Jaguar Land Rover introduced the serial version of the fully electric version of its Range Rover luxury full-size SUV. The novelty has the “Electric” suffix in the name, reports Drom.ru .

The electric Range Rover is practically no different from the original SUV with an internal combustion engine. The visible differences from the outside are the absence of exhaust pipes, a deaf panel installed instead of the traditional radiator grille, and wheel rims with an original design, which are optimized from the point of view of aerodynamics.

The structure uses two traction electric engines of the UK company's own development, the combined power of which is 542 horsepower and torque of 850 N•m. The electric engines are powered by a 118.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which is located under the floor of the body and enclosed in a high-strength aluminum body. The range on a single full charge is 535 km.

The power reserve can be restored from 10% to 80% in just 22 minutes using a super-powerful 350 kW fast charging station. The components of the electric power station are carefully insulated, so the SUV can overcome water obstacles up to 900 mm deep, passing through a river ford.

The curb weight of this car is 2.9 tons. Despite its large weight, the Range Rover Electric is endowed with sports car-level dynamics: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 4.5 seconds.
