A fishing boat sank in a storm off the eastern coast of Thailand, with seven crew members missing, Khaosod newspaper reports.

The incident occurred in the waters off Sattahip District of Chon Buri province.

The boat sank due to strong waves and a storm.

Thirteen crew members were rescued, while seven others are missing.

The 1st Naval Area Command of the Royal Thai Navy, in conjunction with local fishing organizations, has dispatched ships to conduct a search and rescue operation.

Also, efforts are being made to bring the sunken boat ashore.
