GYUMRI. – Accidents increased in Armenia’s Shirak Region in the first half of this year. Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations regional department registered 203 accidents, as compared to 146 accidents occurred last year.

Total of 12 citizens died as a result of the accidents, as opposed to 10 last year. At the same time, the number of injured was 120, as opposed to 80 last year, head of the regional department rescue service Manvel Saribekyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

At the same time, 80 cases of fires, 6 cases of self-collapse and 58 cases of road accidents occurred in the region.
